The Czech healthcare system has been underfinanced for a long time. Thousands of physicians and nurses are lacking, and departments and entire hospitals are being closed. The level of care is under threat. The goal: Inform the public about the real problems hospitals are facing and secure more resources for their operations in 2020.
The “9PKZ” crisis committee united representatives of 11 organizations whose goal was to prevent cuts to healthcare. Together, they represent a significant part of the Czech healthcare system. The crisis committee united heads of hospitals, physicians, nurses, representatives of patient organizations, providers of at-home care and social workers, caregivers, and other healthcare and social services employees.
